Hello from Dianna Roberts. I work for an international consultancy with offices in New Zealand, Australia, the UK, Canada plus an office in Detroit. My main responsibility is to ensure that the information needs of the company are met and this includes management of the worldwide intranet. I am a 2.0 sceptic as I have yet to find any applications that would be of benefit in our situation which is why I have jointed this gang and am also working my way through SLA's 23 Things just in case I see the light!

I've been LMS in my independent elementary school for eight years and now I am working on finishing my MLS at Clarion U. of PA. I am interested in finding out how others are using Ning and other Web2.0 apps in school libraries. Glad to find this group!

Hi! Thanks for having me! I'm the IT manager for an Air Force base library. We have a long-term goal to ensure we have global reach to support military members, civilians, and their families, 24/7. We aim to maintain the brick and mortar as required, but hope to transcend the physical barriers into cyberspace so we can offer library support and services anywhere a computer can access the internet.

I am a big fan of 2.0 technologies, especially those that empower patrons and allow them to share their knowledge and experience with other patrons. I've been very interested in watching Hein use 2.0 technologies to great effect.

Hi, I'm Denise Fischer and am a teacher librarian at two elementary schools in Oconomowoc, WI. I've been with the same district for 18 years. Currently I'm enrolled in an accelerated Masters's course in Instructional Technology, learning all about Web 2.0. I'm working on teaching the students the information technology skills they need for the 21st century. I'm hoping we can share ideas and tools. Currently, I'm setting up a wiki for the fourth graders at two schools in our district. They're going to collaborate on creating a multimedia story about book care and post it to the web. I've also created pages where they can share their books online. It's my first time at doing this project, so it will be interesting to see how it goes.

Hi. My name is Hannah Ranson. I have been an avid patron of libraries pretty much since the moment I learnt to read. Now I have made the decision to change careers and become a librarian - to pursue my passion as such. I am interested in learning more about all aspects of the industry, particularly web based applications. I also have an anthropology degree and an education degree, specialising in early childhood studies, and I am interested in how I might utilise these qualifications as a librarian.

I also teach online computer classes for the Local community college. My job ranges from the entire network to cleaning the dust out of the machines. I've been with the library for two years learning how libraries work but I've been in the computer business for 15 years. Yes, I was excited way back when windows 3.1 came out.
