Hello all,
I am a second-year school library student working on an exploration topic. I was wondering if anyone out there has any familiarity with "open access" in a K-12 environment. There are numerous open access journals and repositories for the "adult world" - Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), OAIster, DList, arXiv, etc. - but just like Gale and others tailor some of their databases to be more kid-friendly I'm curious if that's been done for open access resources and/or tools. I'm curious about the classroom and the library. Any and all formal or informal help is appreciated.
Thanks!
