Share your creative ideas on how libraries can use media to communicate ideas .....

The lines between collecting institutions, the arts, academia and the media are blurring. Libraries are leading the way in using different media platforms to tell stories about their collections and communicating ideas. The State Library of Queensland has set up Australia's first digital stories repository. The Powerhouse Museum Research Library runs a blog dedicated to the researchers that come in to use its resources. The National Library of Australia has an extensive oral history collection online.

What other ways can institutions use the media (digital storytelling, podcasts, blogs, social media and even the mainstream media) to connect with people and share the ideas that are sitting behind dust jackets on the shelves?

Please start the conversation in preparation for the "Allsorts Online" Forum in Adelaide on Tuesday, December 1. It will be a free one day event followed by drinks. Masterclasses on December 2.
