This network is for Library 2.0 Stuff

anyone using zotero as an archive for gov pubs? zotero takes snapshots of webpages and may be a way to capture changes in a site. love to know what you think of this or whether you are doing this.

That is an excellent idea! I use Zotero as well and that didn't even occur to me. I do like their web "snapshots" feature.

I use Zotero to manage bookmarks I don't want to see showing up via delicious (which I use to populate parts of my website), like for some recent research on RDF. One thing I don't like about Zotero is that it's specific to a browser on a computer. I know that there ways of extending it, but they seem cumbersome.

Once you've captured a page, how do you plan to use it? Are you going to try to assign SuDoc-like identifiers? Do you envision having some publicly accessible pool Zotero'd docs in the future? Perhaps you and I and Rebecca could try a pilot of publicly-posted, pooled Zotero'd docs...Amy
