I have been spending more time in Second Life investigating the possible uses. I am particularly interested in the role librarians are taking in the virtual world. Some places like the University of Hertfordshire have spent a lot of time creating a virtual library which looks like a real library but then I was disappointed not to be able to take an ebook off the shelf and turn the pages.

We've both been very busy recently, but I'd be interested to hear how you are getting on in Second Life. My attempts to join failed as I can't seem to get it to work at work, and it wouldn't install properly on my home PC either! We'll catch up next week I know if not before, but just to say hi! Did you see Sheffield's Information Commons made it into Private Eye last week?
