Former librarian at Boston Public Library. Outreach and projects director--developed Access Center for People with Disabilities which employs adaptive technology and programming especially in ASL for deaf population. Retired but still involved in library and ALA committee
activities. Kept young by grandnephews and grandnieces who are zooming ahead into cyberspace.
What is Your Interest in Library 2.0 (not yes or no)
Primarily learning about it. It will keep the library and ALA relevant in this 21st century. I'm thinking about developing a blog on Irish genealogy (since my parents came from Ireland and I'm working with an Irish cousin on my family tree) or on local history (I helped establish our local historical society) I don't need one on my Red Sox--we have Sons of Sam Horn, Dirt Dogs, and now Kurt Schilling's 38 pitches. I'm busy reading blogs by librarians so another one's not needed. So I'm still thinking.

Hi 1newworld,
I'm a teacher librarian & recently started a community based blog for getting boys to read - http://GettingBoysToRead.com. Please send me a friend request if you'd like to network, share ideas, and learn more about getting boys to read.
Thanks - I'm so glad you like the photo-slide. Each is a book that I will be reviewing in the next month or so. Just a little something extra I do to support the authors that are giving me a chance to make my dreams come true!
There are so many "reviewers" out there - it is difficult to secure a small corner..... :) Have a great weekend.
