There is so much to read & so much to do & so much to say about the services which have been graced with the clunky 2.0 moniker. While the movement needs a better cognomen, Library 2.0 will work for now.
I'm the Systems Librarian at Shippensburg Univeristy. If you're having trouble with one of the Ship Library databases or have a question about finding resources for a class, let me know via this profile or AIM ShipLibrary for suggestions on ways to get to what you want.
Hi, Aaron. Thanks for your comment on how IM reference is doing at ShipLibrary. We're training staff the next two weeks. Most of them have never used IM, but they seem excited about it. Our trial will run through the summer and if successful and staff are comfortable with it we'll publicize it heavily in the fall. There are always moments during the day when the phone rings, two students are at the desk waiting, and someone tells us the bathroom is flooding! so we're worried about adding IM into the mix. But I think those situations will be few in reality.
