- Alun Edwards is a qualified librarian who has pursued an unusual career leading to work on various JISC or AHRC funded projects at Oxford. Previously the manager of Humbul and now collections development manager for Intute: Arts and Humanities, Alun is involved in promoting critical thinking about resources available on the Internet. Before joining Oxford University in 2000 Alun gained extensive user-services and research experience in a wide range of information environments including: special libraries (such as post-graduate study of private security, crime and criminology; and is on the advisory board for the Sørensen Centre); providing library services in high security prisons and immigration detention centres, and to schools; and in a county records office where he also worked on an indexing project for the museum of the South Wales Borderers (24th Foot). I also work as a researcher for the First World War Poetry Digital Archive, at the English Faculty, University of Oxford.
