Do you have any favorite blogs related to librarianship or 2.0 or blogging?

The Meebo widget doesn't get used very much and then when it is used I dont always get to it right away - I'm away from my desk, or whatever, still we're glad to give that to our students as an option.
You're right, technology, the media, and society are all changing rapidly and we librarians really have to not just keep up, but be leaders. It seems like learning on the job is a given for most librarians, the dark flip side is that it can be used as an excuse for not emphasizing good teaching at library schools. Just my opinion.

Israel, thanks for cour comment, compliment, and correction. I was in library school only 4 years ago and hadn't heard of library 2.0 at the time (lol) good thing you're ahead of the curve.
Thanks for adding me as a friend, Israel! I worked for and with librarians (including catalogers!) for ten years at the Colorado State Library. Although not a librarian myself, they always treated me as one of their own. :)
Hi, Israel. Wow, in just five minutes of browsing your page I'm impressed. You're into these 2.0 technologies way more than I've had time to be, and are an inspiration to me and no doubt others. I'm honored you asked to include me as a friend here. Thanks!
Hi, Israel.
A cataloger! Wow. It's good to see young folks like you getting into cataloging. Yeah, I know things have changed since I graduated from CSU Fullerton over 30 years ago but cataloging is still my favorite thing about being a librarian.
If you haven't had a chance take a look at my two OPACs from . I'm constantly trying new things to make my library more accessible, usable, user-friendly, etc.
Next year I'm going to try to have LibraryThing tags and reviews added to my collection. Could be fun.
Thanks for asking to be my friend.
Take care.
Oh yeah, almost 4got to mention that I'm a cataloger too. I'm @ LMU (Loyola Marymount University) in L.A. But my current goal is to do be a Reference Librarian at a public library -- maybe go back to working for L.A. County Pub. Library.
A fellow, 1st year, SJSU SLIS student -- good to meet ya', Israel. Did you know about the "Web 2.0" class that they're offering next semester? I can't recall the exact name of the class -- it's a long one -- but it's going to focus on Web 2.0 technology and sites like Facebook, MySpace, Flickr in respect to establishing the "social library" -- should be fun!
