About Me:: I recently retired from 35 years of work in academic libraries. I received my MLS from Emporia State University in 1969. My first job was at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. From there I moved to Kansas State University, and then to the University of Kentucky where I stayed for 12 years until I became library director at Minot State University in North Dakota, serving in that capacity for 21 years. I decided to take early retirement in December 2005 to spend my remaining years learning how to write historical fiction. I live in Alamosa, Colorado, located in the San Luis Valley, with my wife Judy, an active artist , who also helps with editing all my writing. Our only pets are the wild deer, young and old, that eat and nap in our front and back yards. The picture is of my alter ego Yarrl of Alexandria. What is Your Interest in Library 2.0 (not yes or no): Exploring a new concept. Like when the first browser came out! Wasn't it called Netscape? No it was called Mosaic someone told me.

Thanks for the invirtation. (If someone can friend you, why not be invirted?) I'm a mid-westerner, transplanted to the east coast for so long, I might has well been born here (though I've never acquired that strange South Boston accent).
