"He who is afraid of asking is ashamed of learning." ~From a fortune cookie that came with my Chinese food at The Golden Duck (get the peking duck! mmmm) in Buffalo while I was in library school.
Hi Shannon,
I'm a teacher librarian & recently started a community based blog for getting boys to read - http://GettingBoysToRead.com. Please send me a friend request if you'd like to network, share ideas, and learn more about getting boys to read.
We met briefly at your poster session at ACRL. You did a great job by the way, and thank you for following up with the email attachment. Had I remembered you are a musician, I would have mentioned I am one too. I run a netlabel BuckramBeats. I can not sing at all, so I am always looking for people to collaborate with. Feel free to hit me up if you are ever interested.
Thanks for the add. I've listened your music and I like it very much. Centralia is beautiful. And thank you for enlighting me about the story through your song. It made me do some research on it. Quite sad. Thank you once again. Enjoy the start of the week. Good thing is that you get to sleep one hour longer because of the DST:)
Small world! I'll definitely let you know if I ever play in Toronto, thank you for asking. It's ridiculous that I never did when I was at University at Buffalo for my MLS. You're a musician too? Got any music on the web?
I'm trying to get my music uploaded onto BlueO2.com, but have been experiencing technical difficulties--I'll let you all know when it's rolled out, and when I have added the work I've been doing with my collaborator, James Kopcsay. He's an excellent guitarist and harmonizer. And I hope to start gigging again this summer when I'm done with the MLS. Woohoo!
I'm a Reference Associate specializing in instruction and outreach for students in the health sciences at New York University's Bobst Library. I'm also a singer/songwriter. I don't have a personal blog, so I'm putting a link to my music up here for you all!
What is Your Interest in Library 2.0 (not yes or no)
In general, I just want to keep aware of the evolution of the internet since it's such an integral part of being an information professional. Specifically, I've been using Facebook for outreach (and even a little online reference) for NYU students in the sciences. I'll be presenting a poster on my project at ACRL in Baltimore in March, so if any of you are going to be there, please introduce yourself to me in person!

I've listened to your music via MySpace. Didn't know you were a librarian too. Let me know if you're ever performing in Toronto.
I visited your myspace and really like your music! Is it available on CD? Larry Greenwood
