Hi Jim,
I'm a teacher librarian & recently started a community based blog for getting boys to read - http://GettingBoysToRead.com. Please send me a friend request if you'd like to network, share ideas, and learn more about getting boys to read.

Sincerely,
Mike McQueen

Hi Jim, would you like to participate in the Library 2.0 Member survey I created for my Research Methods class?! It's not very long, and is mostly demographic and interest information. If you do, I would appreciate any comments you have about how I could improve it. Thanks, Julie

Hi, Judith. This would be the result if there is a weighting in the results toward recently loaded records, but if this is happening it should be possible to adjust the way results are returned to not favor those records so much. Of course, since the intent is that these records match things in the collection the results should still be relevant. This situation would be true of any instance where large numbers of records are being loaded at one time, depending on the OPAC's setup.

Tell me if this rumor is true. Large institutions that have Marchive transfer FDLP documents into their OPAC have had their OPAC flooded with government documents so that keyword search results in pages of gov doc at the top of the list.

Jim! So good to see your virtual face! And I am sorry for bothering you with so many questions but THANKS for always getting back to me! You deserve a reward for being the most patient man in LibraryLand. Will you be at ALA Annual in D.C.? I'll visit you at the Marcive booth!

Hi Jim,
Years ago I used to bother you with Marcive questions. I'm back being a gov docs librarian again and just wanted to say hi.

I've heard your name bandied about for years. Nice to be able to put a face to the name. You won't recognize my name since I've never dealt directly with you but my co-worker has.
