Hi Anna,
I'm a teacher librarian & recently started a community based blog for getting boys to read - http://GettingBoysToRead.com. Please send me a friend request if you'd like to network, share ideas, and learn more about getting boys to read.
Would you mind checking out a new group, "Idaho LIS Students" and adding your information? Nampa has several employees who want to enroll in a graduate LIS program, and who are hungry for information. There have to be many others in the state, and it would be great to have contacts and program information all in one place! Thanks. (Also, I am submitting a Grow-Your-Own grant and this is part of how we can get information out to the Idaho library community!)
Hi Anna, would you like to participate in the Library 2.0 Member survey I created for my Research Methods class?! It's not very long, and is mostly demographic and interest information. If you do, I would appreciate any comments you have about how I could improve it. Thanks, Julie Click Here to take survey
Hey, Pants! Great presentation on social networks!! Got me all excited to actually complete my profile and start talking to people on these things!!

HI Anna. I am master student in Graduate School of Library and Information Science(GSLIS) in University of Illinois at Urbana- Champaign. I really enjoy studying in this program, it's the No.1 Library program in 2004,2005,2006, US NEWS. Check this out.

Hi Melissa, thanks for the interest! SPLAT is a group of 10 librarians and library workers from all around the state of Idaho. We've all agreed to seek out and experiment with innovation and keep our eyes on new trends in library service. We come together 3-4 times a year to show/discuss what we've been doing, what we hope to accomplish in our library community and how to get those things done. We are also trying to have a presence at as many conferences and gatherings as possible to talk to other librarians about what we're doing and help equip them to be innovators. Lately we've put a lot of energy into emerging technologies and their place in libraries. For example we've been getting other librarians set up with RSS aggregators/readers and IM accounts.
How's that? Anything else you'd like to know - or hear about in more detail?
I've been wandering through LibraryLand for the past 5ish years in a number of capacities. I've got my BA in English Lit and will soon (hopefully) be enrolled in UW's dMLIS program. I currently work in Youth Services and love doing programming for kids.
What is Your Interest in Library 2.0 (not yes or no)
I'm a member of SPLAT (Special Projects Library Action Team). We have a great team of people who are seeking out innovation and new trends in library service. I'm fascinated with all things L2.0. While I'm not so sure all the principles of L 2.0 are new, I think the paradigm shift that goes along with it is a very positive thing.
