Hey folks, I find myself using Twitter a lot lately - not yet so much for patron-library interactions, but a lot for interactions among colleagues. Wouldn't it be great if we could all follow each other using an agreed-upon hashtag? maybe somethin…

Ok - I received my invitation thanks to the Web 2.0 Expo. A friend and I played with it, and both our responses were "eh." The one nice thing about it is that you can collaboratively and simultaneously edit a document. Otherwise I see it as the emp…

You will need a place for "write-in" applications that are not covered by your list. You might want to structure your survey based on categories of items (bookmarks, social networks, chat, etc.) - you can look at lists of recommended software to see…

I suppose one could respond on his blog, but I prefer here. I'm not sure whether he wants to find out information about all the applications for himself, or just to see what students are using. As people have said here, he should just experiment and…

I believe you need an invitation. So far they have not extended one to me, but if you can invite people...well, you probably have at least 1-2,000 people here interested.

Does anyone have any suggestions with pinpointing the exact URL for the above tutorial's action="...? I've tried numerous URLs to our library catalog and the widget simply reloads our basic search page when we enter a keyword in the widget and hit…

Alright team, this video was made after I made some OPAC widgets for a few libraries who asked for them. These widgets allow patrons to add an access point (search box) to your library's catalog from any of their websites such as blogs, myspace, f…

Bob, I'm glad to see this group and to find you on it. I'm currently in the midst of preparing to teach the second phase of a Leadership program for a library in Florida. It has been a lot of fun to work with colleagues to develop leadership skills. They are a great group. Sure miss my friends at NYPL.

Hi Bob, I added two questions to the survey which may make it a bit more meaningful. This is a learning experience for me...I'm considering this survey in the pretest stage, so I'll be continually revamping it. Thanks again for your collaboration.

Bob, because of your comments, I plan on adding these two comments to the survey. Because this is a partial pretest, I will be continually revising the survey. Of course, this doesn't make it valid, but I appreciate everyone's help in being involved in the learning process!
