Profile Information

Name of Your Library:
South Jersey Regional Library Cooperative
About Me:
I'm the Assistant Director at SJRLC, a multi-type library cooperative serving 630 member libraries in South Jersey. I'm very active in creating and promoting classes and workshops and have been offering much in the way of Web 2.0 over the past 2 years. I figure if I know what's going on with L20 there's a half a chance I'll program some good classes and help keep others on their toes! I also blog over at Library Garden with a great group of librarians.

What is Your Interest in Library 2.0 (not yes or no)
My initial interest was stoked when I took part in ALA's L20 Boot Camp last year, and I'm tickled to see my "team 10" podcast is hanging out on the sidebar of this page. Cool! As part of that experience I drafted the El Tuo Manifesto, which is available at: http://eltuo.pbwiki.com. Although I let it drop pretty quickly (short attention span and a general aversion to self-promotion), on re-reading it, I kinda proud of what I done wrote. For instance, #14: "Irrelevance is worse than death. People say nice things about the dead, but the irrelevant are seldom mentioned."

Greetings all!

First, a big thanks to Bill Drew for setting this up! I'm curious to see how this will evolve. I'm still a bit of a newbie with social software and waiting for that "click" where I "get it." Looking forward to exploring with my fellow librarians :-)

We've had a great experience with Overdrive. We get the most usage from our Audio eBooks but we have a much bigger collection of those. Last month we circulated 2,959 Audio eBooks, 1,289 eBooks, and 528 eFlicks. We have 381 copies of eFlicks so it's a pretty small collection. Hope this helps!
