Hi,
I'm a teacher librarian & recently started a community based blog for getting boys to read - http://GettingBoysToRead.com. Please send me a friend request if you'd like to network, share ideas, and learn more about getting boys to read.

Sincerely,
Mike McQueen

Hi Jenny,
I've admired your work for a long time. You are always very informative. Your previous employer must of been smoking crack on the day they let you go. It's good to see that you found a place at ALA.

Thanks for the presentation at the Michigan Small and Rural Libraries Conference. It encouraged me to explore some of the things you discussed with a little more confidence. (Isn't Northern Michigan beautiful?!)

Thanks, Chad and 1newworld! I have to find a way to track my chatterwall better, as I don't see what's happening here as much since there's no RSS feed. I'm very surprised there isn't one for this tool.

Thank you both, though! :)

Hi Shifted Librarian, I've been following your blog--I really like the rationale behind your
name--and your work with ALA. You're doing a great job. Thank you, 1NewWorld

Yay - I'm looking forward to it, too, Sonya! I tend to write my presentations the week before I give them, if not the night before, but let's definitely try to coordinate. :-)

BTW, I love your ning name!

Thank you so much, Woeful - you made my day!

Regarding your note "Turning the Ship" -
I know it's a struggle for many public libraries like yours, which is one of the reasons I push so much on how blogging, RSS, IM, Flickr, gaming, etc. as useful, efficient, and for the most part free tools that can truly help organizations like yours. I am very glad you are out there pushing your library forward, and they are lucky to have you. Keep up the great work, even when you feel discouraged. What you're doing matters.
