Thanks for adding me as a friend, Israel! I worked for and with librarians (including catalogers!) for ten years at the Colorado State Library. Although not a librarian myself, they always treated me as one of their own. :)

Hi, Israel. Wow, in just five minutes of browsing your page I'm impressed. You're into these 2.0 technologies way more than I've had time to be, and are an inspiration to me and no doubt others. I'm honored you asked to include me as a friend here. Thanks!
Hi, Israel.
A cataloger! Wow. It's good to see young folks like you getting into cataloging. Yeah, I know things have changed since I graduated from CSU Fullerton over 30 years ago but cataloging is still my favorite thing about being a librarian.
If you haven't had a chance take a look at my two OPACs from . I'm constantly trying new things to make my library more accessible, usable, user-friendly, etc.
Next year I'm going to try to have LibraryThing tags and reviews added to my collection. Could be fun.
Thanks for asking to be my friend.
Take care.
Oh yeah, almost 4got to mention that I'm a cataloger too. I'm @ LMU (Loyola Marymount University) in L.A. But my current goal is to do be a Reference Librarian at a public library -- maybe go back to working for L.A. County Pub. Library.
A fellow, 1st year, SJSU SLIS student -- good to meet ya', Israel. Did you know about the "Web 2.0" class that they're offering next semester? I can't recall the exact name of the class -- it's a long one -- but it's going to focus on Web 2.0 technology and sites like Facebook, MySpace, Flickr in respect to establishing the "social library" -- should be fun!
Take care,
~Raymond

Hi, Isreal. Thanks for your comment about my pdwiki page. It is an easy and cheap way to keep track of my online content. It is more flexible than some of the notes programs out there (like Google notes).
Nice work on your Ning page. I haven't had time to really edit my page, but you have done some nice work.
Thanks for adding me. I'm halfway through the program at the LSU School of Library & Information Science in Baton Rouge, La. A couple of classmates graduated last year and moved to California - one in Sacramento, last I heard - Melissa Blickem, in case you have met her. And Claire Castleberry somewhere near the Bay area.
I also helped some friends move from New Orleans to Oakland in 2006 after they were displaced by Hurricane Katrina. That was my first visit to California. The Bay area was beautiful. Are you originally from there?

thanks for adding me. You are in your first semester? How is it going? I'm winding down here and already starting to look for jobs. Have 6 credits left to take in the Spring and graduating in May. Keep in touch! I am also on Facebook
