nextgen librarians

I spoke at the conference yesterday about NextGen librarians and made a conclusion that my Russian colleagues gladly call themselves modern librarians, but don't do anything to correspond to this title. they are still somewhere in the middle of the 20th century. I am totally frustrated...

Would you like to support Russian library blog

Dear colleagues, my blog "Library Bat" needs your support in the Second Russian-wide public libraries websites contest.
This is the only personal library blog in Russia, so if I win the competition, there are sure to appear much more blogs on different library topics.
So, if you want, you can give me and my "Library Bat" your voice here.

Biblioblogs in Russia

My article about Russian library blogs was published on Infobib.

It presents a review of three Russian library blogs and an attempt to explain the reasons of poor librarians' activity in this sphere. Think it will be interesting.

Hello Katerina,

I have read your article about Russian library blogs that was published on the Infobib. I think that what you write has figured out some problems that I see in my country. Could I put link into your article in my groups' sources? I just started a groups with name Developing Countries Librarians. I sure Russia was not developing countries, but if you like, you can join the group, because here we can share and discuss some experience and problems that we face.

Regards,
Heri

Hello again! Yes, I read your post about the biblioblogosphere situation in Russia. We have more or less the same problems. In Greece there are 5 blogs concerning libraries and all of them belong to individuals. I'll soon write a post with more info about it.

Hello Katerina!!! It's nice to find you in here. The biblioblogosphere is quite similar in Greece as in Russia so I think we have lots of things to discuss and share. :)

Hi Katerina, would you like to participate in the Library 2.0 Member survey I created for my Research Methods class?! It's not very long, and is mostly demographic and interest information. If you do, I would appreciate any comments you have about how I could improve it. Thanks, Julie
