Shepherd puppies, Shepherd Training

The targeted advertising on the ning is pretty funny--Lots of Library related ads, which I read was part of the paid hosting(directed topical advertising) But contextually, for me at least, ads are appearing now for German SHEPHERD pups, and German SHEPHERD training, and German SHEPHERD videos. I understood the Shepherd part, Oh wait, clueless me, it is because I mentioned the German language studies.

Hi Melissa --

Many thanks for your message. It was great to see you and the others at the Front Page, sorry I got side-tracked and never made it back. Hope you all had a great conference!

Melissa,

Thanks for joining us in the Library Leadership and Creative Librarians groups.

Have you checked out the 1000journals.com website I mentioned in the CL discussion group? I imagine that it might have some appeal to the lapsed book artist trapped deep inside of you.

Thanks again!

Hello Melissa,

That is a good thing. But, some faculty are fighting the requirement to take online course training because that alters the contract the the faculty member signed when he/she accepted employment to teach in a traditional learning environment (face2face). It also create problems concerning whose the owner of that material, if it was created on campuse, rather than off campus. Thanks for your comment. Ron

Re: my book tastes... You'll see I like just about any topic. (That's what I love about my NF book blog -- I can talk about anything. No pigeon-holing.) I've got a few naval history books, but I'm pretty much interested in everything. History, science, bio, music, lit, Pacific NW. Looking over the 20 books we share, I get the sense you have diverse interests, too.
