I've been wanting to research the Cantigas de Dom Dinis and some of the other poetry from that time period. In one of my courses, I focused on the original poetical songs from that time period and was really excited about the discovery of 15th century musical notation of one of D. Dinis' cantigas in the binding of a 16th century book a couple of years ago.
Unfortunately, my research in Portuguese until now has been limited to socio-economic growth in Brazil and some oral histories. I'm hoping to go back again next year.

How are the libraries in Portugal? I've wanted to do research in Lisboa for a long time but haven't had time to make it to Europe yet and have done most of my research in Brasil.
